Seahorse - gold plated 22 ct, Stick pin / brooch WITH OPAL J30006

Measuring approx 4.5 cm in height, this little stick pin brooch is an electro-formed, gold plated seahorse with a small doublet opal fitted.

Note - our seahorses were found in a batch of various liquidated goods we purchased 2 decades ago. We believe them to be a species found in warmer Asian waters. They had already been metalised and copper plated when we got them. Rather than keep them in the shed collecting dust we have now spruced them up, gold plated them and created jewellery pieces from them for you to enjoy. We have added Australian opals to some. Please be assured that we had no part in sourcing any live creatures for processing. We hope that in fact these specimens had washed up on beaches and were no longer living when collected. We feel we have honoured them by presenting them in this form, to be admired for the beautiful creatures they are and were.
